Individual Machine Learning Model: Home Credit

Home Credit is a financial services provider specializing in lending to individuals with little or no credit history. In this project, we predict repayment capability to identify reliable target customers while minimizing financial risk. The models developed help support responsible lending and expand credit access safely.

2025 - Churn Predictions

Leadership lacked a reliable, data-driven way to identify customers at high risk of cancellation. The leadership team has requested a tool to identify customers that are high risk of leaving as well as outreach efforts to these customers. Retention activities have costs associated with them, so an efficient allocation strategy is essential. The project was able to identify high risk churn customers and provide a thoughtful, strategic, and cost-effective plan to engage customers and prevent churn.

2025 – Sentiment and LDA Analysis

Sentiment and topic analysis on textual data related to Seongbuk-dong. The sentiment analysis revealed that the majority of posts and reviews expressed positive or neutral emotions, highlighting satisfaction with local amenities and community atmosphere. Using Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) for topic modeling, several key themes emerged. The combination of sentiment and topic insights provides a nuanced understanding of public perception, helping inform urban planning, community engagement, and tourism strategies.

2025 – Text Analytics

Text Analytics for Seong Buk Dong

Seong Buk Dong has received mixed reviews on Yelp, ranging from praise for authentic flavors to critiques around service, ambiance, and value. With hundreds of reviews spanning varied levels of detail, the challenge is to extract actionable insights. In this project, we apply text analysis to reviews of Seong Buk Dong and its top-performing competitors. Our objective is to identify patterns in customer feedback—especially factors that contribute to higher ratings—such as better service, improved atmosphere, and enhanced dish presentation.
